How to use Windows Snap


Windows 11 start menu now allows users to pin their favorite apps, and even group them together for faster and quicker access. To utilize this feature follow the instructions below!


Pinning Applications:

To pin an application, you will need to do the following:

  1. Go to the start menu by clicking on the Windows icon
  2. Click on all apps
  3. Right-click on the app you will want to pin
  4. Click on “Pin to Start”

Grouping Applications

Just like in Android and Apple mobile phones, you can now group applications in a folder on the Start Menu in Windows 11. To do this follow the steps below:

  1. Click and hold on an application
  2. Drag the icon for the application you will want to group
  3. Release

You will now see a folder that reads “Folder”

To change the name, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the newly created folder
  2. Click on Edit Name
  3. Type in what you want it to display (ie Microsoft Office)
  4. Press enter.
