The Start menu experience changed to allow users to pin frequently used apps, and to make it quicker to access important applications. By default the start menu will have (in no particular order) Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote For Windows 10, Company Portal, File Explorer, and Settings

Here you will find the following options:

  • All Apps
    • This is where the traditional Start Menu is located, and where you will find all of your installed applications.
  • Recommended
    • This is where you will find your frequently used apps and documents for quicker access
  • Pinned
    • Pinned apps will show here (please refer to this article for more information) for quicker access.
    • Grouped applications will also appear here as well (please refer to this article for more information)
