Here is what has changed and what has not changed in Windows 11:


What has not changed in Windows 11:

  • Login experience is the same
    1. You will still log in with “Windows Hello” or your username and password

What is new in Windows 11:

  • New Taskbar and Start Menu
    • Pin and group applications directly to the Start menu
  • Docking settings are applied when you undock and dock
    • Note this is not covered in the Windows 11 Walkthrough. When you undock your Windows-based device, Windows 11 remembers how you had your screen laid out, which applications are on which screen, and your default speakers
  • New Snap experience, and more options to snap windows


New look, same operating system:
