If you are a new CWC or a New MCS Employee, you are required to set up Microsoft Authenticator due to Insurance Policies, and standardization in the Tech world.


To set up Microsoft Authenticator please follow the following steps:


  1. Install Microsoft Authenticator App on your device from your Phone's app store (if you have a smartphone)
    Android: Navigate to Play Store and search "Microsoft Authenticator
    iPhone/Apple Devices: Navigate to App store and search "Microsoft Authenticator"
  2. Navigate to https://aka.ms/setupsecurityinfo
  3. Click on "Add Sign-in Method"

  4. Click on "Choose a Method"
  5. Click on "Authenticator App"
  6. Click on "Add"
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts by clicking on next or continue
  8. On your smartphone, Open Microsoft Authenticator
  9. Tap on the Plus ( + ) icon
  10. Tap on "Work or School Account"
  11. Tap on "Scan QR Code"
  12. Using your Phone's camera, scan the QR code that is shown on your laptop:

  13. Once you scan the QR Code you should see an option that reads "Christ Wesleyan Church" or "Meadowbrook Christian School". On your phone
  14. Click on Next
  15. You should now see a box that reads "Let's try it out."
  16. Tap on Microsoft Authenticator notification
  17. Enter the Number that appears on your laptop
  18. Tap on Approve on your phone
  19. Use your unlock method
  20. Click on next on your laptop.


You now have Microsoft Authenticator fully set up and is ready to be used. Microsoft Authenticator is only used for signing on to devices outside of MCS and CWC, or signing in for the first time on a new Windows or MacBook device.
